Green Screen I came in from work one day and turned my tv on, and the only thing I got was a complete green screen. I mean, the whole screen is completely green. I have audio, I can hear the tv, but I can't see the picture. All I see is a green screen. The tv is 3 months old.

    We were watching TV the other night and everything turned pink. We have audio still and if we put a movie into our DVD player we have normal color.

    We changed out our DVR box from the cable company but still having the same problem. What can we do?

    I had the same problem. I turned the TV on and the audio worked fine, but the screen was completely green. I unplugged the cable box for about a minute, plugged it back in and all was well.

WOW!!! THANK YOU. I was so worried. Our tv already has horrible burn in, and then my xbox360 went green. But I thought it was strange because the tv felt extra hot. And the xbox felt normal. So I thought it might be the tv. Then I read a few forums claiming it was the xbox. I am glad I read this. Thank you. You saved me hundreds of dollars.
Thanks
Tim

Thanks so much it worked for me also

turn on the tv, leave the cable on and unplug the power from the TV for 30 seconds (not a full-blown reset, but resets itself somewhat, I thought that the leaving the cable on was a weird step, but tried it anyway), I turned it back on and everything worked-tested-good.(!)...it's worth trying

worked great THANKS

You may need to replace the Main Digital Board of your tv. If it's still covered by warranty, just drop to the warranty depot shop to get it fixed.

My xbox 360 had a green screen last night through both of the video component cable inputs, but the cable (coaxial) was fine and the rca/composite was fine. Someone told me to turn on the tv, leave the cable on and unplug the power from the TV for 30 seconds (not a full-blown reset, but resets itself somewhat, I thought that the leaving the cable on was a weird step, but tried it anyway), I turned it back on and everything worked-tested-good.(!)...it's worth trying rather than replacing/servicing. Good luck

Screen is all Green

New cable box recently? If not, your cable provider has probably pushed a firmware update to your cable box. Green screens are very common with HDMI connection. From your symptom, I am going to take a guess that you are connected via HDMI. If so, switch to Component cables and your problem is solved. It's not the TVs fault... cable boxes seem to be the single largest problem child for HDMI compatibility. I hope this was of some assistance.

Sony KP-51WS510

you need a green CRT thats whay you have the white kind of concave lines with the green screen. You can try adjusting the green screen control but you need anew CRT ( tube) the speaker cover has two plastic plugs that get removed on the lower edge os the grille which covers the two screws that hold the grille on. If you need more assistancr or where to get a green CRT let me know as I have a link that has some green and red Tubes for your model.

Green screen vizio lcd

My 37" vizio I bought in Dec 2007 did this (green screen at start-up on all inputs). At first it went away by itself after you left the unit on for 15 minutes, but then 2 days later the whole thing DIED. Luckily Costco has a 90 day return policy on TVs.

Vizio tech support suggested this (before it died that is):
Please try to reset all setting and then to see if the problem is solved. 1. Press the Menu on your Remote Control;
2. choose Set up on the OSD;
3. then choose Reset All settings;
4. Press the Exit on your Remote Control to remove the OSD.

Polaroid FLM 2011 Green screen

Mine did that too for a while. I called polaroid and they told me to leave it unplugged for about 10 minutes   and then plug it back in.. I did and it works fine/has ever since. Supposedly that problem is caused by a week cable signal? Try unplugging the tv to rest it before you spend money on it.

Green screen with almost horizontal zigzag lines

Is good that you hit it and it reacts,very likely you have loose conections in different places but for the distorted picture you need to check the horizontal driver transformer and flyback after that is corrected you need to check the complete chassis for loose conections.Take your time.Good luck.
