After downloading, place a plane CD in the CD/DVD writer and then double click the downloaded file. Now the burning process will begin. After burning is successfully completed, you can use this CD as your boot disc. Follow the installation procedure as usual.

Try to update the USB driver to 2.0 first then the drivers to the WUSB54GSC..

Did you download the latest version of the driver from Asus? Thats a pretty old wireless adapter, and Windows XP is pretty ancient these days, so it might just be a limitation of your OS not being able to do it.

The latest "version" of Windows XP is Service Pack 3 (or SP3). It's not really a version, but a pack of updatesand patches for Windows.
You can get this SP3 - and lots of other important patches, packs and updates (for Windows and other Microsoft's products) by going to Microsoft Update website. Assuming you have a legitimate copy of Windows (read this to find more about it) - updating your system will be as easy as clicking a button! :)

Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) The latest version of Business Plan Pro 11.0 will install and run in Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (SP3).
If you're installing the software from a CD, you may not have the latest version and could encounter a message during the installation that indicates you need Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed. Downloading the latest installer from our website will resolve that problem.

Take the following steps to download the latest installer and use it to install our software:

HAVE YOU USED THE LATEST DRIVERS THAT ARE ONLINE AND IS IT LISTED FOR YOUR WINDOWS VERSION, I KNOW VISTA HAS SOME PROBLEMS WITH USB DEVICES AND RECOMMENDS A HOT FIX.

Your sound driver is corrupted. Download the latest version of the sound driver, uninstall the previous version and reinstall this new version.

You are using the Dell Resource CD provided by the manufacturer. This CD may not work with new versions of Internet Explorer that come with SP3 installations (if you reinstalled from a Windows XP CD not provided by Dell or if you did the Microsoft SP3 update).
You're only solution would be to use your "Service Tag" number underneath, for laptops (or on the back/side for Desktops), of your computer and go to http://support.dell.com to download the drivers for your specific system. If this computer doesn't have the drivers for you to be able to go to the internet, use a second computer and go to the site. Then download the individual drivers listed (the latest dated drivers will work best).
Once you've downloaded mainly the Video, Network, Audio drivers, use a USB Flash drive (sometimes called USB Key, USB pen drive, USB drive, etc) and copy what's been downloaded onto it. Do not double click on the files while they're on the second computer.
Once on the machine with Windows XP SP3, double click on each downloaded file (1 at a time) and follow the on-screen insctructions to install the driver. You should be fine afterwards. :) Let us know how it goes, and rate us. :)

If it is Win XP with SP1 ( check this - tight click My Computer, click Properties and check if it is Service Pack 1), then you need the latest SP from microsoft (that is SP3).

WinXP not recognizing USB drives, the SP is the most common cause I  have seen. Update to SP3 and it should solve your problem.
