The model indicated uses what is called a Optical Light Engine, it is a very expensive part and likely is your problem---not much else will cause this trouble.
You will most likely need to replace the panel. You will have to contact Sony and they will send a Factory Trained Technician to your home to replace it. Since you are not on Factory Warranty this repair will cost you. You may find it cheaper just to replace the television.
The image processor must be getting old and worn out. Call Epson or go onto their website and see if it is a dDIY project or if you will ned to send it in.
