My printer keeps printing greenish and blue/yellow

My i960 printer keeps printing greenish and blue/yellow prints. I put new canon ink packs in but my daughter thinks she somehow changed the command to the printer to get a full spectrum print. Is the4re a setting on my mac that wil sync the two?

I fixed this problem for free with advice from the canon experts at the canon website, without them trying to sell me anything like a "plan" as your website has proposed.

Having trouble with ink refills

Many aftermarket companies have inferior parts in their ink cartridges. Stay with the genuine cartridge for yours. To save money refill your own. They can be refilled at a low cost and the cartrige will reload about 7 to 9 times before it no longer any good to use any more

I have a canon i960 printer. It won't print blue. All other colors work fine. I've replaced the ink, downloaded new drivers, run the clean print head utilities, both regular and deep cleaning. What do...

I would guess that the printhead is bad. Google cleaning printheads or get a new one. Sometimes , not always you can clean the printhead instead of replacing. (take out and clean by hand)

When I print a picture it is greenish. All the

You need to make sure you are not using the photo magenta, your printer doesn't use photo magenta and it leaves the prints green. You need also to run the nozzle check print by holding the resume button until the green light flashes twice, and see if all colors are printed. If not you need a new printhead, the part number is on the side.

Canon i960 qill not put ink on paper

I called Canon. I also had green 1 flash and amber 1flash everytime I turned on the printer. That right there indicates an elecrical problem. The flashes mean it needs serviced and with it not printing now means it's not wirth fixing, out of warranty. Canon did offer a code for reduced price new or referbished print from them.

Canon i960 printer won't print in blue

Your problem is the print head. You can buy one from Canon for about $95, or find them new from dealers on Ebay for $60 to $70. For a less expensive fix, try to remove the print head and clean it. (You don't need any tools, just remove the ink tanks and pull the print head forward and out. Over time, the receivers tend to get dry & crusted ink on them. Note that the inks used are fast drying inks to keep your pictures, etc. from smudging after you print them. Try not to use solvent. I use q-tips and hot water, then dry using another q-tip. If this does not work, there are commercial cleaning kits available for about $10. Short of that, your choice is to replace the print head or the printer itself. My i960 prints such good quality color prints and normal color printing, that I would fix it rather than replace the printer. I hope the easy cleaning does it for you!

Canon i960 will not print in black ink

Yep same as above. Black prints very light gray after 5 years of good printing. Tried every test, replaced black cartridges with different brands. Just wondering if somehow you can clean the heads. I'm convinced the black head is almost totally clogged. Does anyone know how to remove the printer heas to do this?

My canon i960 is printing only green

I had this problem. If I tried to print a black& white photo on to glossy paper, it would only print green. When I tried on to plain paper using the 'fast' option, it printed in black. The reason for this is, on plain paper it uses the black cartridge, but output to glossy photo paper using the 'high' option, uses the mix of colours in your colour cartridge. If one or more of your colours has run out, you will get a print with the ink left in the cartridge. Replace the cartridge or refill it & your problem is solved.
