There are several reasons why the tester doesn't react..try to check these:
1. Check the safety fuse inside it.
2..The test lead set (the red & black wire w/ pin )
might have cut inside it,particularly in the part of
ends,near the pins/plugs.
3. The bateries might be o voltage and need to be
replaced.,or if the batery is good, just clean the
contact or teminal of the bateries.( a common
multi tester have 3 bateries, composed of 2 size
"AA" & 1- 9volts size.) these bateries are all
assigned to the "continuity"section of the tester.
(these are: X1;X10;X100 ; X 1K & X10K. )
so,if the tester is not functioning only in that
section, the first thing you have to check are the
bateries.Now.if you replaced the bateries with
new one but it is atill not working, then we go
back to my tip number 1 above.,that is to check
the test lead.
3. if you already finish checking the above method
and it still not working, then there is a problem in
the resistors of the system.

But, is your tester is digital? if it has no power: just simply check the fuse & batery..But if it has a power but not working when you use to test, you jst check the test lead or the selector switch becos the contact inside might be loosen.

Remote control doesn't work

Have the remote itself first checked---most tv shops have a tester--point remote at it and press buttons and it reacts-----Many digital cameras will react on their display screen in a very dark room in the same way.

If remote itself tests good the set has a receiver that takes the signal from the remote and it may be bad.

Have it tested with a tester or with a digital camera since many will react on their display screen in a dark room.

Hi 5800 only vibrate no on

1. By using a scale manually Multitester x1, connect the cables Multitester with positive and negative poles of the Vibra component, if the component is vibrating in a good situation, but if the components do not vibrate Vibra then you need to replace the defective component Vibra.

2. Further examination could be done if the component is not damaged and remained Vibra still using Multitester, connect the cable to the interface component Multiterster Vibra on phone PCB, if there is movement of the needle when it is connected Multitester the path under normal circumstances, otherwise if there is no needle movement means there is a path Multitester end. You can make jumpers system directly from the UI to the component controller IC Vibra. Check also that the positive path from the battery to the Vibra in good condition, if the track is lost then do the path-breaking jumper on you, then the vibration will work again.

How can I check the compressor relay? Is there a way to check and see if it's working?

If it rattles when you shake it it's bad.

There are two types of relays you may encounter, wire coil and solid state. If the relay has an exposed wound wire coil it can be tested for continuity. Otherwise, the relay is of solid state design and requires specialized equipment for testing.Test the compressor relay for continuity using a multitester. Set the multitester to the ohms setting X1.
With the relay upside down, place the probes into the terminals labeled "S" and "M". The multitester should display a reading of zero ohms, indicating continuity (or if using a continuity tester, it should light up).
With the probes still in place, turn the relay over. You should hear the click of the magnetic switch engaging. The multitester should now display an ohm reading of infinity (or the tester should not light up).
Turn the relay upside down again, place the probe on the "S" terminal and place it on the side terminal labeled "L".

The multitester should now display a reading of zero ohms (continuity). Turn the relay over and the reading should change to infinity.
With the relay upside down place one probe on the "L" terminal and the other probe on terminal labeled "M".
The multitester should display a reading of zero ohms. Turn the relay over and the reading will stay the same, zero ohms.
If the compressor relay does not pass all of these tests, it should be replaced.

What are the symptoms of a bad egr valve ina 1994 geo tracker?

this may help
EGR Theory. EGR serves one purpose and one purpose only. That purpose is to reduce Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx). Undernormal combustion, Nitrogen(N2)Oxygen (O2) in the air and Hydrocarbons (HC) in the fuel combind into water(H2O) Carbon dioxide (CO2) and the Nitrogen remains unchanged. Under very hot combustion temperatures, the Nitrogen reacts with the other two byproducts and forms Nitrogen oxide (NO). After being released into the atmosphere, it picks up another Oxygen and becomes Nitrogen dioxide (NO2). In the presence of sunlight,
it combines with other compounds like Hydrocarbons and forms Smog. Since exhaust gas is inert (very stable) it doesn’t burn again. So by being introduced into
the combustion chamber, it will lower combustion chamber temps enough so that
the Nitrogen doesn’t react with the other compounds and is passed unchanged out
the tailpipe thus not contributing to smog. Now, since exhaust gas doesn’t burn, it
doesn’t exactly help with combustion. At higher RPM’s, this really isn’t noticable,
but at idle, the reintroduction of exhaust gas will cause a very rough idle and can
cause stalling if to much is introduced into the combustion chamber
