Somewhere on the cabinet the phones plug into is a port labeled MOH or MOH 1. This is where the music source plugs into. This source could be a radio, CD player, or probably an ON HOLD player.

You can buy the music files and voice tracks and make your own hold music, you could even commercially license XM or Sirius radio and insert it on the system.

If you need more help, please comment back and I can give you some ideas to help you find music sources.

How to silence the on hold beep for the kxt7731

What do you want to use to indicate the call is on hold? You can set it to Music on hold with no music, but the caller won't hear anything if you have no music. If you're talking about the recall on hold, it's adjustable in system programming, where you'll also find the On Hold programming.

On hold alert

You probably need to be more specific as to which tone is annoying :-)

The ON HOLD source is what the caller hears when he's put on hold. It can be adjusted in SYS programming to Tones, Music, or None.

The HELD REMINDER tone is what your phone does when you put a call on hold. It can be set for none to 180 seconds in 30 second increments (at least on a CICS).

The programming is done using a 7310 or better phone in system programming.

You may have activated a "Caller tune" or "Ring back tone" service. Check with your service provider to deactivate the tune.
