If the chair sets for several weeks the batteries will wear down to the point that they cannot be recharged. Have the batteries load tested and I bet that this will fix the problem.

I BOUGHT A USED JAZZY JET 3 ULTRA WITHOUT BATTERIES AND I HAVE BOUGHT 2 NEW BATTERIES BUT AM NOT SURE HOW THE WIRES HOOK TO THEM, IF THE 2 BATTERIES HOOK TOGETHER.

Locate the two wires from the circuit breaker attach one wire (black if marked) to the negative post of the rear battery and attach the other wire (red if marked) to the positive post of the front battery. Locate the two wires coming from the power module plug with a red and black wire. Attach the red wire to the rear battery positive post and the black wire to the front battery negative post. attach the joystick to the nine pin plug at the rear of the chair and turn it on. You should have power at the joystick and the chair should work. Disconnect the joystick put the shroud cover back on grease the seat post and reattach the seat then plug in the joystick and charger plug at the rear of the chair. Charge the batteries before use and charge them overnite for the next 20 days. If you use the chair daily charge your batteries everynite while you sleep unplug in the morning. If you don't use the chair daily charge at least once per week or after you use the chair. Always put the chair up fully charged if you are going to be out of the chair for an extended time the disconnect the batteries at the large plug going to the power module Hope this helps you

Do not know if chair is taking a charge lights just keep moving across armrest .how do u tell when fully charged?

hi let me see if i can help ,

When the lights go back and forth on your joystick that means the chair knows its pluged in .Now the chair itself has a built in charger that is mounted on the back of your chair .The back of the chair ,there is a opening a cutout in the frame .when you plug in your chair there will be a red light and a yellow ,yellow means the chair is charging, wait till it turns green, this means fully charged. When you plug in the chair youll see the lights through that hole.Look for the lights.

I recommend my customers to leave there chair charging over night look at the light it will be green when you turn the chair on the joystick should show fully charge.

Good luck hope i was of some help.

I need an owners manual. I have had the hoveround charging for approximately 36 hours, it seems to turn on but does not move.

PK 36 hours charging is too long you will damage the chair and the batteries. You shouldn't have to charge more than 12 hours and never more than 24. If the batteries are weak the chair might power up but you don't have the power to energize the motors. If you have a digital voltmeter set it to 200 volts dc and plug the leads into the two outter holes of the charger port located on the joystick. You should be reading 25-27 volts with the batteries fully charged. Anything less than 20 volts will not be enough to power the chair. Hope this helps you

Will not charge. amp meter does not move. has current all over the chair when pluged into ac

Midway if you hava power when the charger is plugged in and you aren't getting anything when unplugged I would say you have a battery problem. If you have or can get ahold of a digital voltmeter set it to 200 volts dc and plug the leads into the two outter plug holes in the charger port located under the front of the joystick. Without the charger plugged in you will read the battery voltage. It should be 24-27+ volts fully charged. Now plug in the on-board charger and you should read 27-34 volts indicating the charger is working. Hope this helps

Plug charger in and will not charge the fan on the charger quits running in a few seconds it will beep with charger pluged in and when you unhook charger it clicks like a dead battery i wonder if charger...

David Are you leaving the power on while you are charging the Chair? If you are try charging with power off at the joystick. The manufacturers of all power batteries do not recommend charging with automotive chargers. I would try to locate a friend or neighbor that also has a chair or scooter and borrowing their charger for a few hours to see if it will charge your chair. If not contact your provider and borrow a charger from them. If the different charger works then yours is bad. You shoud be able to order a charger through your provider or by calling Pride Mobility @ 1-800-800-8586 Hope this helps you PS I didn't say you couldn't use the "other" charger. But I wouldn't want you to think I approved of it

Can the speed of the Jazzy Power chair be increased beyond the setting on the armrest remote controller?

Make sure that your tires are properly inflated and that you are not carrying more weight than the power chair will allow and that your batteries are fully charged.
If you got your chair second hand, sometimes the previous owner has the technician change the controller settings to "dampen" it to slow it down to allow them greater response time and control. The technician can reprogram the controller to take it back to 100%. If you got the power chair new, it should be at 100% already.
Take it easy, HotRod. It's a medical device, not a car!
Good luck!

Jazzy wheel chair

When a chair sits for a long period of time ( four weeks or more) without being charged, the batteries die. To help you with the freewheel mode I would have to know what model of Jazzy it is.
