Canon sx200 is, lens error restart camera, after taking some pics I wanted to delete them, so after deleting one picture I've got black screen and the message "lens error restart camera" and the camera turn off by itself. And there is no way to operate the camera after restart because it's showing me the same message as above mentioned.

Hello

Thank you for using FixYa for your problem

Always check the batteries first but if is it still giving the same fault, your camera is faulty.
It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

Please rate our solutions and if you still have problems please call back for more ideas to help you

Thanks

--cannot view anything to take a picture of--the view screen is black but I can see al menu items and can display settings. Flash works. I can see cannon signal clearly when camera is turned on. I am...

The A6XX series is prone to stuck shutter problems, particularly if the camera isn't used very often. Lens lubricating grease can coagulate on the shutter, immobilizing it. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, sometimes with lines, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open). To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help.

Want to delete ALL photos on camera, power shot A3100IS- how do I do it? I see how to delete 1 picture , but not all

The easiest way (assuming you've downloaded the pics you want to keep to your computer) is to go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions.

There are 2 solutions. 1: you may connect it to the computer and delete those picture you want. 2: You may find the picture and when you see the pic you want to delete you just press the delete bucket seen and confirm after. Hope you got an idea. Good luck

I get a lens error message: restart camera, but don't have a clue how to do it. please help

Hello

Unfortunately a "lens error" message is not something that you will be able to fix. This error indicates a system failure and requires the camera to be sent in for servicing and repair.

Canon SX200 Kingston 4GB SDHC card

Deleting or formatting won't make the data in memory card erased permanently.

Those lost pics are still stored on the memory card, it's just invisible or inaccessible. Only the FAT or NFTS table is erased (the information about where those data were saved), but the real data are still intact there in sectors of the hard drive.

So as long as those photos are not overwritten by new pictures, it's highly possible to recover them. And the MOST Effective way is to rely on some format recovery programs.

Try Asoftech Photo Recovery program, which can recover pictures after deeply scanning the memory card to look for lost pics you accidentally deleted or formatted.

Deleting pics

Hi. I don't know if you accidentally changed something, but I would take all the pictures off. Download them to a pc then format the card. Then, reset the camera back to manufacturer specs. That would fix it.
