We have a new custom build PC from Data Doctors for personal use with Vista 7 and have a Samsung SyncMaster 191t monitor that was previously used for gaming and had a DVI cable. We bought a VGA cable but the Samsung monitor just says Check Signal Cable. We also tried using a VGA to DVI adapter, but that didn't work either. The monitor didn't even say check the signal cable then; only the green monitor light kept flashing. Is there a setting inside the SyncMaster 191t that would be previously set for gaming, or is there likely to be a problem with the monitor?
