Skype prob I got prob with my skype video call,my partner can see my video thru skype but I cant see partner video. we have checked web cam its working fine. There is no problem on hardware at all in both PCs. i can't figure out what is the prob when we connect Green screen appearing instead of partner video. plz help me on this matter.....

you cant call or send message to your skype partner.
your skype username are blacklisted and cant send anything to your skype partner.

This model Compaq laptop does not have a built-in WEB cam.

To use video call with Skype you need to purchase an USB WEBcam, connect the WEBcam into the Compaq laptop's USB port and install the WEBcam driver that came with the WEBcam.
Then configure Skype - select the WEBcam and mic.

Start up Skype and click Options under the Tools tab. Click on Video settings. Skype should then start the built-in webcam's video and you should see yourself in the window. Be sure that the radio button is on to Show that I have video to... people in my Contact list only. If instead, the radio button is on for no one, then no one will see that you have any video capability. If you have made any changes, be sure to click the Save button at the bottom right of the Skype options window. Finally, be sure that your partner is in your Skype's Contact List.

Any web cam should work with skype.
Please configure to use life cam as input for video signals by skype
Go to Skype> Tools> options> video settings
Please ensure no other application is using web-cam when using it on skype

This problem is familiar have you tried your webcam on yahoo messenger if its working check the skype setting for video

try to update your skype application...

i have read some article in the internet saying that in US they are experiencing server down....

skype is one of them.. maybe that is the reason you are experiencing problems in your peripherals...not your camera is the problem... the problem is in the net..

Check your webcam here by clicking allow in top window and see if webcam broadcasts in left hand panel

Uninstall webcam software
Disconnect webcam
Restart computer

if your webcam are corectly installed skype wil reconised it bij the software
if you connect sombody in skype there are a tab wit webcam (video chat) only for skype connections.

Use skype fore check your web cam. you can download it from skype.com after installtion go to Tools-options-video settings there you will see your web cam video.
