The fuse has burned out in my projector benq MP610. So I opened the projector to replace it : same result. I verified, the lamp is also burned out. Do you think the burned out lamp can make the fuse to burn out ?

Check the ballast board. It is the one that has the wires going directly to the bulb socket.

I just solved this problem. You have to remove the lense and adujst 3 screws. It may be delicate adjustment (about 0,5 to 1mm) but I solved the problem. Was not that easy to remove the lense, access is from the fron after removing the front panel. Cheers.

To reset the picture menu do the following.
1. Press the menu button.
2. select SETTING
3. Then select reset and press ok button (The following settings will still remain: Mirror, Language, Password, High Altitude Mode, Phase and H Position.)

if you need to reset the lamp hour do the following.

1. Press and hold the Exit ( up arrow ) button on the projector for 5 seconds to display the total used lamp time.
2. Press Auto on the projector or on the remote control to reset the lamp hour to "0".
3. Wait about 5 seconds to let the OSD disappear.

I just replaced my lamp for the same beamer. Took me a while to figure out how, but if you know how, it is easy. Turn the beamer on its back. In the middle, you will see a black rubber (small), it covers a hole and a screw is in the whole. Pull the small bblack rubber out. Unscrew the screw. A small cover will come loose. And there is the lamp, You have to pull out the power cable, and than only one little screw that mounts the lamp to the inside of the beamer.

I replaced my lamp on my Projector MP510 after the projector shut down. I followed the instructions in the book to reset the projector but the projector shuts down all the time. Please can you help me HARRY

OK , then this is positively a Mainboard problem.

Check if this unit is still under warranty as the BenQ MP Series came out with a standard 3 year warranty and in which case will cover the replacement of this part.

Replace the lamp and reset the lamp timer.

Lamp timer can be reset by holding down the up arrow key and then following the easy on-screen instructions.
