Right after a phone call the screen went to black. Tried to charge, use a different battery etc nothing. Red charge light will not even appear. Can not get the phone to turn on at all. 1 month until my contract expires and I would qualify for a new phone.

Sadly the red light is a Fatal error light,

I had my itouch in my purse for a few days and didnt do anyything that i know of to break it, then the next day i went to turn it on and it wouldnt turn on so i figured it was dead, then i tried pushing...

Try a hard restart,

To reset the iPod Touch, press and hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button simultaneously at the same time for at least ten seconds, then the LCD display will clear and the Apple logo appears on the black background. When Apple logo appears, reset is done.

Also be sure to leave it plugged in to charge for a few hours - you may have completely drained the battery.

Low Battery, Connected car charger, now is dead

May be the battery won't have charge, keep 1 or 2 hrs continues charges, and if it is not working then you have to replace the battery set full.
