It is hardcoded to '0000' (four zeros). Anyway, put your headset in pairing mode, prior to trying to pair it with your phone. If it has never been paired with another device before, just by turning it on, it should enter that mode, denoted by its indicator light being steadily lit in blue. Otherwise, turn your headset off. Then, press and hold the Muiti-Function Button for far more seconds than the time required to turn it on, until its indicator light is steadily lit in blue. Then, within the next couple of minutes, bring your phone and headset close to each other, and make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a little while, your headset should appear on-screen. Select it and make your phone connect to it. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passcode) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros). If the pairing process is successful, your headset should enter the stand-by mode. There should be an indication on your phone too, that the pairing process has been successful. Otherwise, turn you headset off and repeat the pairing process all over again. Hope you are able to sort your problems out soon. Anyway, please, let me know if I can help you any further. By the way, if your headset's quick start guide happens to be missing, feel free to download it from this location. Regards, Carlos
Try to put your headset in pairing mode, prior to trying to pair it with your phone. To do it, begin with it turned off. Then, if it is the first time it is being paired, just by turning it on (i.e. by pressing and holding the call button for some 2 seconds), it should enter the pairing mode. Otherwise, keep holding the call button past the turning on phase (a total of some 8 seconds), until its indicator light is flashing in red and blue, thus indicating it is in pairing mode. Either way within the next 2 minutes, make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a little while, your headset should appear on-screen. Select it and make it connect. If a pairing code (or passkey, or PIN) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros). If the pairing process is successful, your headset should enter the stand-by mode. By the way, if its user guide happens to be missing, feel free to download it from this location.
Really hope you are able to sort your problems out soon. Anyway, please, let me know if I can help you any further. Regards, Carlos
For initial pairing, you're the one to provide a passcode. So if the system asks you to enter passcode, you will need to enter a code that you will use as this is the enrollment process. Once the passcode went through, the paired devices will be connected and locked to the system unless deleted or removed manually, so make sure to use a generic passcode that you can easily remember so you won't have any problems in the future. Hope this helps!
By pairing your KU990 and another device, you can set up a passcode protected connection. This means your pairing is more secure. 1 Check your Bluetooth is On and Visible. You can change your visibility in the Settings menu. 2 Touch Paired Devices then New. 3 Your KU990 will search for devices. When the search is completed Refresh and Add will appear on screen. 4 Choose the device you want to pair with and enter the passcode then touch OK. 5 Your phone will then connect to the other device, on which you should enter the same passcode. 6 You passcode protected Bluetooth connection is now ready.
Using a Bluetooth headset 1 Check your Bluetooth is On and Visible. 2 Follow the instructions that came with your headset to place your headset in pairing mode and pair your devices. 3 Touch Yes to Connect now. Your KU990 will automatically switch to Headset profile.

When pairing two phones, you need to set up the connection on both phones. One will ask you to enter the password when you are creating the new connection, which you will then need to enter on the second phone to complete the connection. This ensures that only people you allow to connect (people you gave the code to) can connect to your device.
