My only suggestion would be to put this cruzer on another computer andforget about the data. See if there is a way to format the drive withregular disk manager in windows xphow do I unlock my San Disk cruzer? - mag-glass_10x10.gif.if not, you'll need a drive formatting program that can sort oflowlevel it but not exactly... more of wiping all relevant fingerprintstuff i imagine. perhaps a program like partition magic also could dealwith the issue.

all this new fingerprint stuff can get quite confusing when it's protecting so many thing.

SOURCE: san disk cruzer overheats

Try removing the drive from the casing and after you insert the device into your PC try spraying it with a component cooling spray designed for troubleshooting overheating issues at the component level.

In a pinch you can flip a can of compressed air upside down and spray it with the liquid to reduce the operating temperature temporarily. This may work just long enough to save your data.

If all else fails you can try sending it to a data recovery expert. Email me directly and I can provide you with a recommended expert that I use myself for our corporate data recovery.

SOURCE: 0 free space on a brand new san disk cruzer flash drive?

If it's a read only disk, then, after you had plug in the drive, go and reformat. When you install the pen drive two removable disk should pop up with different letters, one belongs to U3 launch pad, this one have a cd icon, and the other one which is where you save your data. For example, if the dvd drive have the letter D in your MyComputer, then when you plug the Cruzer, the letters for the Cruzer should be E and F, the letter E is the one that you use to save your data. This example is if you don't have any other removable disk installed.

SOURCE: San Disk Micro Cruzer 4GB

Hi there,

Try plugging it in to a different USB port on your computer. Make sure the connecter on the Cruzer is clean and there's no dust inside.

Also, try plugging it in on a different computer.

If none of these work,
I'm afraid it's a hardware problem and there's nothing that can be done about that.

Hope I helped!
