How to keep your xbox from getting rrod

Over the past few months i have noticed allot of xbox 360s are in need of getting R ROD problem sorted, its usually easy to fix by the use of an xbox clamp kit (under no circumstances use the towel trick) this will fix it but not for long it will inevitably destroy your xbox here's how ive never had it with my own 360 allot of people like there xbox standing upright ,keep it flat in turn you wont damage your discs if it gets knocked over or nudged don't sit your xbox on top of another device ie a dvd player or a video player or next to a heater,keep your xbox as low to the ground as possible heat rises so the lower the better but not on a carpet (preferably on a hard flat surface to allow a good air flow) and don't cover the air vents of your 360 with game boxes or discs your just asking for trouble,and finally get a big hard drive and install your games to it instead of running them from the dvd rom drive which generates more heat good luck and have fun gaming
