Question about HP Pavilion ze2000 Notebook
Laptop will power up and hp symbol pops up. Then it goes to press F1 to resume, F2 to set up screen. it also beeps twice before going to that screen. But nothing happens when you press F1 or F2. Help!!!!!
It sounds to me that you may have an issue with the keyboard itself, as most BIOS will stop on a keyboard error unless told otherwise. But, this could be a malfunctioning keyboard, or a disconnected keyboard. 1 way to test either is to press the caps lock, num lock or scroll lock keys and verifying the corresponding light turns on and off with the button presses. If they do not respond, it's likely the keyboard has become disconnected internally. Other issues may also cause this to happen, but they are harder to test for. If it does respond, then it's more likely to be a keyboard failure, and a replacement of the keyboard may be required.
Hope this helps!
