WGA = Windows Genuine Advantage. This long winded message is telling you that Microsoft has detected a counterfit installation of its operating system. If you have a valid license, call Microsoft's support and have proof of your purchase. The number is usually available in one of the ensuing screens shown when the detection occurs.
Good luck!

>> Invalid Product Key
>> Windows Product Key: *****-*****-PY6BX-K24PJ-TWT6M
>> Windows License Type: Volume

You have a "bootleg" version (an illegal copy of a "volume-license" version of Windows).

A Google-search for 'PY6BX-K24PJ-TWT6M' reveals 282,000 "hits",
i.e., the license-key that you used to install Windows XP is "well-known" to be a "bootlegged" license-key.

Call 1-800-RU-LEGIT, if you purchased the PC & Operating System from a "shady" retail-store.

How can I fix this and how can I keep this from happening again?  I have the sticker that I got when I bought my computer last year but when I typed in the product key from the sticker...it said that it was not valid.  What can I do????  Does this have anything to do with the INTEL(R) EXPRESS CHIPSET updates?  It seems that both times this happend I had just installed new updates.....

This copy of Windows did not pass Genuine windows Validation.

This is probably an issue of where you got your Windows XP software from. If it was a disk that came with a computer other than the one it is installed on, that is probably the issue, or if you bought it from somewhere other than a reliable store like Best Buy or something that maybe it. Basically, it means it is a copy or fake, something along those lines.

How to resolve the problem of my pc it shows this copy of windows did not pass genuine windows validation

Microsoft says:
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer, and then visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag (http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag)
  2. Click Start Diagnostics.

Note If you receive a dialog box that asks whether you want to run this file or to save this file, click Run.

The WGA Diagnostic Tool analyzes the computer and then lists the reasons why you cannot validate the copy of Windows XP. The WGA Diagnostic Tool may also list some error messages.

The most common problems are an invalid product key and a blocked volume license key. If the product key that is generated by the WGA Diagnostic Tool differs from the original product key, go to step 3. If this is not issue, see the "More Information" section to resolve the problem.
  3. If the product key that is generated by WGA Diagnostic Tool differs from the original product key, you must change the product key back to the original product key. To change the product key, use the Windows Product Key Update Tool. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/PKUInstructions.aspx (http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/PKUInstructions.aspx)
  4. Follow the instructions on the Web site, and then try to validate Windows XP again.

Diagnostic Report (1.9.0027.0): ----------------------------------------- Windows Validation Data--> Validation

> Blocked VLK
> Windows Product Key: *****-*****-3R89F-D2KXW-VPK3J
> Windows License Type: Volume
> Windows OS version: 5.1.2600.2.00010100.3.0.

Where did you obtain the CD-ROM that you used to install Windows,
using that Product Key?

A "VLK' is a "volume license key" -- when some organization purchases a specific number
of licenses to install Windows XP, Microsoft issues a "volume" license-key,
so that all (up to the number of licenses they purchased) computers in that organization
can use the _same_ license-key.

If Microsoft detects that the product-key is being used *OUTSIDE* of that specific organization,
then Microsoft will *BLOCK* all attempts to "activate" Windows that cite that product-key.

I did a Google-search for '3R89F-D2KXW-VPK3J' and Google reported 37 THOUSAND web-pages that contain that string. That is a *DEFINITE* sign that the VLK has been "leaked" onto the Internet.

So, you are trying to use a "non-genuine" copy of Microsoft Windows XP.

Thus, you are a "SOFTWARE PIRATE".

Purchase a *GENUINE* copy of Windows XP (or Vista or 7) and install it,
and throw away your "pirated" copy of Windows.
