Songs and radio skips like a scratched cd

I got my sansa e200 player about two months ago.
the songs on my player and on the radio function skip like a scratched cd.
i usually have it hanging around my neck and if i move around even a little bit, it skips to the point where i can't even hear the song anymore.
is my player just biting the dust or is there something i can do to fix this??

Your mp3 player works like a hard disk, make sure that it was not moving when you are listening to your music. If the problem is the same try to use a new headset/earphone on it. Loose connections on your headset/earphone makes you think that your mp3 player skips.

DOWNLOAD CD GO TO PLAY AND IT SKIPS THREW OUT SONG

If your CD/DVD player is skipping some songs then you need to:

1) Clean the CD to ensure that any smudges/finger marks are 'gently' cleaned using a suitable cleaning cloth (eg. spectacles cloth)
2) Check for Physical defects that could cause 'permanent' skipping' - if they are no physical holes/scratches on the silver/bluish//shiny recording surface then you may be able to repair a scratched plastic protective surface by using a CD/DVD repair kit.
3) Clean a possbly dirty CD/DVD player head with a 'cleaning disk'

Sound output

hmmmmm is the CD scratched? if you transfer it to the computer, then to the MP3 and the CD is scratched then it comes out all wonky but if the CD is scratched then just ignore it, and heres how you can tell that its the CD not the MP3 ;
some songs are not scratched if all were scratched then the MP3 doesn't work properly.

and thats it

Hello!

Hmm well I don't know what to tell you about any of that since I am having problems myself with my own Sansa Mp3 player, but for the restarting song problem, did you check to make sure your mp3 player wasn't on repeat or hold? because if either of those operations were on then you would not be able to change the song with the skip button! Hope this helps!

Skipping songs

We could try formatting the player and after the format has been complete try updating the firmware of the player. Change the settings fo the player to MSC then connect to your computer, open my computer and right-click the player and choose format remove the tick mark on the quick format and after the format has been completed. Unplug the device and go to the sandisk website and download the firmware update and install it and when it ask you to connect the device hook the plyer and perform the update for the player. Note: It may be the songs on the player are not that properly transferred that why it is skipping and also the player might also have had bad sectors that is why we have formatted the player. Hope this helps.

My Sansa skips the songs I put on it, what can should I do

I restored settings to default factory settings and has been working and not skipping the songs. Restoring to factory settings does not delete any of your data/songs
