So you are getting a message like " non system disk or disk error, insert system disk to continue"..? or "Missing or corrupted operating system, insert system disk to continue"..? either way you need to install or re-install your operating system. If your PC is a Dell or compaq etc, you may have a recovery partition on the hard drive. To access this, go to your PC manual or the manufacturers website and follow the procedures. Otherwise, you have to use your operating system disks to fix this.. If you dont have the disk or never had the disk, you will need to purchase new disks. However, if you simply received this message after using the PC before, like at switch on in the morning, then you may have a drive issue or mainboard issue. Get back to me with a little history of how long you have had this machine and when was the last time you used if, if ever..? Then we can go a little further in solving this issue.
OK, sounds like you have a missing or corrupted operating system.
Have you ever used this machine before..?
if you dont have disks then you are going to have to purchase them.
Now, please tell me if you have used this machine before this happened or have you only just gotten this machine..?
I need to know this before we can go any further..
