I turned it on one day and the screen lit up and it just kept making a click sound. because I could not turn it off the battery went dead and it shut down. after a charging couple of times and the same thing happening I did a whole system format and tried again. the same thing happened. Is my HD shot or is something else broken?

I had my phone on the charger for a few hours, then shut it off. The next day I turned it on and the screen came up then all of a sudden the screen disappeared. I thought it was the battery, went to buy a replacement, but the screen did not return when the new battery was put in. It remained lit, but I could not get into the regular options.

Have you had the alternator and battery tested on a machine to see if they are in good condition ? The alternator may have very low amperage to charge the battery, or the battery could have a dead cell which would prevent it from holding a charge.

Had the same problem last year. It was the first time in my life that I ever saw a dashboard go haywire, like you describe. Turns out it was just a dead battery. Replaced it; no problems since.

It sounds like a loose wire to the starter, check the wiring going to the starter for any corrosion, breaks and make sure all the bolts and nuts are tight.

I would replace the battery and see if that helps with this problem

Bare or burned wire, most likely battery cable or alternator cable near exhaust system which might be making contact with a metal part somewhere, off and on, because of bumps, vibration, etc.

According to your question ,there is a problem with RAM of laptop ,bring it out again install it properly.
if it not work you to replace it with new one.

You likely have it repaired by now but it sounds like a classic case of oxidized battery or cable connection (sometimes mis-diagnosed as bad battery but cured with new (clean) battery)

the mainboard is gone and have to either be replaced or taken to a mobile service center close to you and hvae them use special equipment to revive it.
