Woke up to watch tv this morning and I had a distorted picture. Everything seemed to be bury and not in focus. After researching for awhile, it became obvious to me it was the two convergence IC's. My question is I unhooked the board to take a look at the bottom of it to see if any resistors were discolored. Then i noticed a green wire sodered between the chips was discolored where it meet the board. My question does this wire need to be replaced and be re attached in the same location or just the chips. The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.Tv have colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look alike?The tv convergene board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors are dead too.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced to solved the tv convergence picture problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.
I had the same kind of problem with a projection tv I had it was as simple as removing the front panel to expose the lightbulbs where there are 6 screws two for each color one for focus and one for power if after adjusting theese and going into the setup and adjust the color calibration it still does not work you want to make sure the three light bulbs on the bottom are alll working as missing one light can cause tints and the distortion your talking about
Remove unshielded speakers or other metallic objects near the TV. It can cause picture distortion.
Tune the TV to channel or cable program.
Run the TV for at least 30 minutes.
Press FLASH FOCUS on the front panel of the TV.
A cross pattern appears and FLASH FOCUS begins to work. The adjustment is completed when the cross pattern becomes white and you are returned to the program you were watching.
You cannot perform any other functions until FLASH FOCUS has completed its cycle. If you perform any other operation while FLASH FOCUS is in progress, FLASH FOCUS operation is canceled.

to create the total geometry in the tv is needed a system called Convergence.Convergence amplifiers are damaged in this unit, magic focus cannot work because magic focus works to level computer and controls the amplifiers damaged. this repair is for a technician because an adjustment is needed after the amplifier's replacement.
This sounds like a power supply problem. I would advise that you get a qualified TV technician to troubleshoot this problem. The reason being is that the TV does not come on at all. The problem might be the main power board (AC to DC) or the secondary power board (Switching Power Supply and distribution board). Have these checked first.
no sound, everything was working fine the night before. woke up the next morning, and turned the tv on, and there was no sound at all. nothing from the TV, DVD, and nothing from the Computer. Please help. [email protected].
