Probably the thermal fuse under the shifter. Goes bad on peg peregos a lot!! The link above probably sells those as well, i have found the foot pedal switch is the problem less often than the fuse.

I have a John Deere Jeep and it has no power. I know the battery is fully charged and works. Is there a way to test the switches, etc. before I buy them?

the battery is behind the front grille, you have to remove the screw in the middle and then pull out on the green plastic clips on each side then fold down

John Deere Gator 4x2 - Left Wheel doesn't move when in 2nd gear

I would replace the high/low switch and the reverse switch. One time a replaced the high/low switch and the reverse switch quit on me 2 weeks later.
You can also get the Peg Perego Gator Shifter that upgrades the vehicle.
You can get the parts and repair help at this site

They have helped me several times.
Hope this helps

Want to locate the batteries for the John Deer 4X2 toy truck

You should be able to buy the battery at any auto parts store.
Call First!
There should be a trap door somewhere on the topside that will need to be unscrewed or pry-ed open.
Make sure you take the old battery to the auto parts store and have them test it to make sure that's the problem!
Often the metal drive and mechanisms on these toy trucks and cars gets rusted and is misdiagnosed as a battery problem in which case I would buy a couple of cans of WD40 lubricant or equivalent and spray on all the metal you can access then manually turn the wheels as much as possible!
