I have a lexmark 1100 printer and got a differant computer.I didnt have the software so i downloaded the drivers from lexmark website and now printer acts like it is printing but when page comes out it is blank.The it has ink but other than that i dont know anything about printers.Any suggestions would be helpful

Unplug the printer from your computer. Uninstall the existing Lexmark X1185 driver from your computer by going to the Start menu ? Programs ? Lexmark 1100 Series ? Tools ? Uninstall. Then reboot pc when prompted.
When computer turns on, check the System type of your Windows 7 by going to the Start menu ? right-click on Computer ? Properties. Take note of the System Type, 32-bit or 64-bit.
To reinstall, use the Vista driver from the Lexmark website. Click on the link below:

• Lexmark X1185 Driver for Vista 32-bit
• Lexmark X1185 Driver for Vista 64-bit

Download, execute the file and follow the instructions in the software. Thanks.

Use Vista driver in Windows 7. First, check the operating system installed on your Windows 7 if it's running on 32-bit or 64-bit. Go to Start menu -> right-click on Computer -> Properties. Note the system type then close the window.
Uninstall existing Lexmark X1185 drivers from your computer to prevent conflict of softwares. Go to Start menu -> All Programs -> Lexmark 1100 Series -> Uninstall. Reboot the pc when prompted.
When the pc turns on, download the driver using the links below:

• X1180 Driver for Windows Vista/7 32-bit
• X1180 Driver for Windows Vista/7 64-bit

Install the file and follow the instructions in the software.

select the device-driver for your Operating System.

Download it. Install it.

Download the Lexmark drivers here.

Remove your printer from 'printers & faxes'.

Uninstall your printer software from 'add & remove' program.

Disconnect your printer from your computer.

Reboot your computer.

Install the printer software from your download.

Follow the on screen instructions, hook up your printer to your computer.

Download the software driver from the LEXMARK website below and then install or reinstall you printer. A manual is also available  for download on this same website, different page.

You need to install the driver software form disk before connecting the printer.

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, findthe file, double click on the file , then if you get introubles, followthe instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

• Unplug printer USB.
• Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
• Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Note:some printerdoes not work on Vista, if you do not find any driver download for Vistaon your model page, that means your model is not Vista compatible.

The lexmark site has the drivers! I had the same problem, just go to their support page, and download the drivers/software.
