Question about Gateway FPD2275W LCD Monitor
My ViewSonic monitor now displays the screen image as if "tilted" back over the top half of the screen. If I hit the top of the monitor gently, sometimes it recovers. Also, this problem seems to go away once the monitor is in use for a while. This monitor is almost seven years old and has not been mistreated --- except when I hit it now!
Any help is appreciated, especially if I can fix it myself.
Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
