Hi, GLENNHOLD148 - With a motor that runs and the blades do not turn, it appears that your mixer's suffered a mechanical failure in the mixers transmission. I don't know if your mixer is under warranty, but I suspect like any small appliance the warranty's only good for a year, and you've probably had it much longer than that. That leaves with with three options; purchase a replacement (Sunbeam and the economy would appreciate that!), take it to a local authorized Sunbeam repair shop, and finally attempt to repair the transmission yourself (DITY repair). The later can be most gratifying, however, sadly, Sunbeam doesn't provide Parts List manuals like some other mixer brands, e.g.; Kitchenaid, so I can only suggest Option 1 or 2. I wish I could offer you more help. Hopefully this will help point you in the right direction. Howard - Burke, VA

Sounds like you might have a bad gear, estimates at about $34.99-40

Hi Jill. Your mixer's gears are made of plastic and can't really handle heavy loads such as cookie and bread doughs. Contact Sunbeam Corp. to locate a parts place near you. You'll need to replace at least the large gear that turns the turntable base, possibly the worm gear that turns the large gear too. Grease these gears when you re-install the parts. You'll have to cut a couple of cable ties to get the machine apart enough to do the work. If this solution has assisted you, please rate it. Good luck! ricardok45.

I would love the base to this unit if you still have it.
Mine is cracked
SOURCE: Mixmaster motor won't spin. Leads from circuit
so far I determined the thermal fuse had blown. I jumped around it but can get replacement. Now the motor runs full speed when turned on. I suspect the pot turned by the speed knob is bad. Having trouble locating a replacement circuit board.
