How do i deleat songs from my sansa e260 - SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player

Try the following method to see what is on your Sansa e260

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.

If you want to delete some or all of the files do the following:
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.

i will surely help you. you have mentioned that you can see all the songs when your mp3 player is connected to the computer. so what you can do is, you can very well go ahead & format all the songs in your mp3 player using your computer. then you transfer a few songs to your mp3 player(the songs which were not getting recognized in your mp3 player). this should solve your problem.

To unhide go to "Tools" (located on the menu bar) > "Folder Options..." > hit the "View" tab > select "Show hidden files and folders". You will see more folders to appear in a faded color. hook it back up to you computer the select start,mycomputer,e250, right click on icon and format device

i had the same problem with my sansa

if it takes batteries put new ones in it

hey download real media player...itz easy to use and it ll show up ur sansa player and u can edit the song name list in it ..try out.. there u can just rite click and delete the songs in the real media itself...the song 'll shoe up in the libraray

If your computer says you don't have any, but your MP3 does you can delete it from your MP3 player. Click on the song that you want to delete and go down to delete song. Click on it and whala! the song is deleted
