Me too - it's worked flawlessly since Jan 06, then one day I transferred it from home to car and it won't stay on. Tried it back in the house, still no dice. Wondering if it can be reset somehow or if it's shot...

Have a new Pioneer DEH-P30001B that powers off for no apparent reason.

Brought it back to installer who checked the wiring and couldn't find anything wrong. Strange! Any help apprecieate. Thanks, Mike

Mine also shuts down and restarts on its own. It appears to happen in the same locations like it is getting interference from something. Sometimes it happens over and over again like I am driving near someone/something that is causing enough interference to force it to shut down and restart. Thanks, Jennifer

Same problem.  I keep seeing the Sirius startup screen, then black, then repeat.  I've left it on all day and it continues this process.  I'm very disappointed too... as I've invested a lot in this unit with mounting stations in various cars and in the home.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Any ideas where to buy another unit???

I took the reciever out of the cradle and slammed it on the dash a few times and it works fine now.

My unit developed this issue today. The unit turns on, beeps, and repeats until I turn it off. I've tried to "fix" it by following troubleshooting steps in the manual, unplugging all the connections and plugging them back in, resetting the factory defaults, and turning off the conformation beep (grasping at straws). It seems to help occasionally but I'm not hopeful any of these are long term solutions and I may be facing the slow demise of my faithful receiver that had worked flawlessly for years...

Turn off by itself

If your radio is aftermarket, it appears that your Battery Constant supply cable is loose, this cable is responsible for keeping the unit's last settings while the ignition is switched to off, check the fuse (if any) and if you cannot locate the issue, contact an auto electrician to arrange repairs, as loose wires can often cause vehicle fires or other damage. if you feel like fixing it yourself, refer to the manual for your head unit for wiring colors, most cases the Battery constant wire is yellow, and ignition power is red, this may vary, so check your manuals.

Xact XTR2 will not turn on

Its likely that the unit itself is bad. Do you have another dock or boombox to plug it in and trouble shoot with? If it doesn't power up in multiple sources it could be dead. Either way, TSS Radio can help:

Hi, the receiver reads antenna not found. I know the radio itself is working as my husband plugged his Blackberry into it and played Pink Floyd. Also, the receiver is not lighting up like it used to when...

If the screen is dim, then try a new antenna. Dim screen = shorted antenna connection. If that doesn't solve it, sell it for parts on eBay, you'll get like $5-$20 depending on if it's subscribed.

I have a sirius starmate st2 and it goes on but won't stay on and just turns itself off. Is there any way to repair this?

Your power jack needs to be replaced. You can buy a repair service on eBay. You'll need a new power jack if you'd like to repair it yourself, which you'd need to take from another radio.

My Benq t221w monitors power light flashes green ond will not turn on, the screen stays black, sometimes it will turn on but noe it stays off.

It is an inverter issue, you can seek a replacement but it would be more cost effective to replace the unit.

It occured to me after plugging it into the car adapter and turning on the car ignition. I ended up sending the unit to Panasonic and they sent me another. This must be a known issue.

Stays on even if HU (CDA-9833) is off

It is possible that the SIR unit stays powered as long as the red wire is powered, since it is normally connected to a switched source. To test this, disconnect the red wire or move it to a switched source (you could even add a switch on the wire and flip it manually). If the battery stays healthy after that, then the red wire being constantly powered is the problem. Otherwise, it is possible there is a problem with the Ai-NET cable connected to the SIR unit.

Tao XM2go shuts off for no reason

You could try taking the batteries out and cleaning the contacts, replacing the batteries and/or using sellotape to hold the batteries in place. They could be loose and disconnect when you move it in a certain way. If not the batteries, you could try further dismantling and cleaning, but you may just end up with a clean ball of sellotape that still has problems...! worth a try. stoodleysnow
