    Its a windows Vista Home Basic OS and the printer model is HP Officejet 5610

    There are issues with drivers for HP printers and Vista
    Try this
    Start/Programs/Accessories/SystemTools/Compatability.
    Try to rest the system to runs as XP

    or

    Remove printer software[Start/printers - Faxes Remove printer
    Then install printer -This time however do not use the Cd let Vista select a driver from its own list.

    Aksi get onto HP there may be a revised driver available.

Get fatal error message after installationof
Make sure that your firewall program is shut down before installing the programs. I have hp program on mine and after I shut down my firewall it went through. Try downloading the latest software from www.hp.com

Hi jadeja_mp

From a run box (click Start > type run in start search) type the following command:

msiexec /unregister

Press enter then open a new run box and type:

msiexec /register

Press enter

Try installing the printer software again. Does this help?

Fatal Error while install software for HP C8180 printer, Vistax64
Normal 0 Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

My photosmart premier program has incurred a fatal error, what should I do?
if this "fatal error" been happening every time , then you need to try to re program with the installation disk ,unless theres something wrong with printer itself, but I suggest to unistall and install again , hope this helpful AJ
