Samsung 932B Plus monitor does not turn on. Blinking LED

My Samsung 932B Plus monitor does not turn on. The LED blinks about 3 times per second when the power cord is plugged in whether I am plugged into a computer or not. The computer recognizes the monitor, but no picture, or even the menu, just a blinking LED light. I have tried it on 3 different computers.

If you can open up the monitor from the back and get the cover off. Look on the power board and see if there are any puffy capacitors, most of the caps will have a silver flat top but if there are any bad ones, they will have a puffy top that stick up.

If you see any then make sure you replace them with capacitors of the same Uf rating and at least the same volts or more.

If you don't see any puffy caps then that means the screen is bad and the whole monitor would need to be replaced.

Testimonial: "Opened the LCD monitor up, and it was as he said. A bad capacitor. Thanks!! Replied within minutes."

So I discouvered that if I reboot the hard drive the startup sends a new single to the monitor and it turns on. I had pretty much was about to trash it when I accidentally discouvered that

Monitor takes long time to on

GuyInTrouble, If you see an increase in time, 4-6 min> 8-10min could be oxidation build-up on an already "thermally intermittant solder connection. 12fixlouie

I have a samsung syncmaster 932B, it worked fine, then when i turned it on it turns on and after a second it turns back off, then i noticed that it shows but its very very dark, i saw some colors but still...

If you look very closely at the screen with the computer on, you may be able to see the desktop etc. but very dark. If this is so, then the blacklight is not working most probably caused but the inverter failing. This can be repaired but is best left to a professional.
If you wanted to fix it this yourself then Google for the inverter data and instructions on how to open the monitors case etc.

SyncMaster 932B blinks, then screen goes black

Check all the connections and if they are all right and tight then the monitor is probably shot. The good news is that it can be repaired. It's usually around $50.00 to $80.00 to fix. Good luck!

No Display on my Samsung 204B monitor

If you know how to open it up and get to the power supply you will find three capacitors 2-820uf and 1-330 @ 25vdc 105o.they will have puffed up tops replace them. FYI the monitor has a 3 year warranty.
