Pioneer deh-p9600mp and deh-p960mp

I have both models and they are both acting up.....
the 9600 model the back display where the graphics show up no longer lights up........

the 960 premier model is also acting up... when i put the faceplate in the open position it slides down and truns off and closes back up.... it starts going in a cycle all by itself where it will turn off when it slides down and turn back on ater closing back up... it just keep opening and closing over and over

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS MORNING IT WAS ON BUT NONE OF THE BUTTONS WORKED, COULDN'T CHANGE THE VOLUME NOTHING. AFTER WORK IT WAS CYCLING OPEN AND CLOSE, ON AND OFF!!! WHAT RIBBON?

My 9600 gat the same problem.. been told the ribbon needs replacing they sell on ebay for about £30 or you can send ur h/u to pioneer to do but that will be more expensive..

there is a power ribbon attached to the faceplate u attach the control face to u can see it the brass contacts on the plate is one end and the other goes inside the h/u this ribbon can go faulty with wear but can be found on ebay for about £30 or take ur h/u into a reputable dealer to be sent to pioneer to be sorted..

Turn on aux. on Pioneer DEH-P960MP

Hit source button until you are in aux mode... then plug in your external music source to the front 'aux in' with 3.5mm line Jack cable. You should be able to play and control from y he external equip.
