Poloroid flm-1911 after 1 minute the tv powers off
Hi:
I have a Poloroid flm-1911 and after about 1 minute the tv screen goes blank, but I still hear the audio. I tried using different inputs, but still the same problem exists. This tv is about 1 year old, and is used lightly. It has never been dropped, nor hardly moved, except for cleaning. If i press the power button, wait 5 or 10 seconds it goes back on then losses the picture in a minute or less.
Have Polaroid FLM-1911 for 2 years this June, TV was secondary in bedroom and I have no pictue , just sound? Is there a repalcement part?Have Polaroid FLM-1911 for 2 years this June, TV was secondary in bedroom and I have no pictue , just sound? Is there a repalcement part?

I have the same problem with a 32-inch Sharp Aquos - started when TV just over 1 yr old. Thank goodness for extended warranty this time! Problem was very intermittent and could be "solved" by unplugging TV for about 20 minutes to reset the processor. Had it "repaired" at the time - main circuit board was replaced, but still had the problem. Finally sent back to repair shop as problem became more frequent. Now they say we need an inverter board. After researching "inverter board" on Internet, I realize the repair shop should have known this the first time we took it in!!! What idiots! Temporary tip: We found that turning off TV, hitting it (no kidding) near the power cord somewhat firmly but not TOO hard, would usually restore the backlight!I have the same problem with a 32-inch Sharp Aquos - started when TV just over 1 yr old. HI
The power source of your Poloriod FLM 1911 is
100 to 240 VAC in, auto selector. you can feed the TV between these said voltage levels.
Frequency is 50 to 60Hz and power concumtion is 50W.
OK.
Yep! If under the 1 year warranty get it in right away. If out of warranty then it's possibly a power supply issue. Probably a $100 to 200 dollar repair. Blessings, A/V Media Tech Guy
I had the same problem and got a TV repair man to fix it for real cheap. The whole fixing took less then 30 min and he goes to your house to fix the TV. He fixed it for an excellent price that left us astonished. He lives in NY. Email me if anyone needs his contact information. You wont be disappointed.

If you have a cable box connected, it's synch circuits are bad. If your TV has a selection for HRC/ IRC make sure you know which one cable company is using .
You need to add more detailes such as the following:
1- TV screen type ( LCD, Plasma or CRT)
2- Is there any sound and is it normal?
I will give some possible defects:
a- The power supply
b- Fillament voltage
c- ABL which is a signal from the line transformer
d- Vertical Amplifier
e- Voltages supplied by the line transformer.
Mine did the same, last few times time it happened I just unplugged the power cord from the back of the tv for a minute or so then return the power cord to the tv and it works fine again.
When the "pink screen" happens on my Polaroid FLM-1911 TV, I unplug the power cord from the back of the unit, wait 30 seconds, and replug it. This fixes the problem.
