Get a repair manual on your model and make of car 1st. the syteps varies from car,to car.also get a door panel removal tool ,this helps with the snaps.must find locations of screws in door panel disconnect batery before any thing unplug window and lock panels. from there u can see the window motor assembly.im not familir with that model but in my experiences it could get complicated.depending how it is mounted.you might have to take out window,or mabye shim uopp the window.depending on how it is moanted .you might not have to do none of does things maybre moter is seperat from assembly/ overall i suggest chilton car repair guides.they give u step by step depending on type year and model of vehicle.when u say regulator ,did yiou mean relay ,or is that refering to the window AASSEMBLY.IF RELAY its probably not in door at all its usually under dash board

My bmw x3 window regulator wires broke replaced with new regulator from bmw now the lower button makes the window go up and the up button makes the window go down

Sounds like a connector block has been connected backwards. It will either be on the back of the door switch or on the regulator itself.
Which door is it on? If it is NOT the drivers door try this. Operate the switch on the door with the problem. Is the problem still there? Now operate the same window from the drivers door controls. Does the problem change? If both switch's give the same problem the issue is most likely at the actuator end. If you get a different reaction between the two controls it will be at the switch on the door you changed the actuator on.

How do I take the drivers door apart to replace the window motor?

It's easier to replace the motor and regulator than just the motor. www.rockauto.com sells them cheaper assembled than seperately. After you remove the door panel you can look at the regulator assy and figure out what to remove. You'll want someone there, a patient someone, to assist you by holding the glass for you when you remove the bolts. I remember taking the glass right out for some reason, then removing and reinstalling the regulator/motor assy, and then sliding the glass back in. It is kinda tricky and requires patience. Hope this helps,

2002 pontiac Grand Prix power window off track , cable in bottom

autozone website has all you need for free tech tips and pics. just register its free. just changed my drivers side window regulator. go to partstrain.com. they sell the regulator (replace the whole thing it only costs about 60 bucks which includes shipping. only takes about 10 bolts which are all 10mm. takes about 30 minutes to change out the hardest thing is taking off the door panel. be advise there are 2 screws under the handle that hold the integrity of the door panel don't forget to take them out or you wont get door panel off. they have 2 little cover caps that need pried off with a screw driver. an easy job.

My drivers side electric window stop working 2002 ford sport trac. how do you change the motor

To remove the door panel, phillips head door screws should be removed, and the panel should slide up. Next, unbolt the window from the regulator and remove the window from the door. Then unbolt the regulator. The regulator and the motor have to be removed together. The motor will be mounted to the door on the inside. There should be three screws or nuts (10mm) holding the motor in. Remove motor and regulator. Reverse to reinstall.
