Hello!
I have bought last year an wireless dlink router kit with USB wireless receiver stick included. I have easily configured it and it works perfectly.
My laptop, with included wireless card conects ok, but the other computer that I have at home connects only via cable from the router.
If I insert the receiver stick it doesn't sense the conection. Sometimes it connected, but only for a short time. The stick seems to be active (leds working) and I have installed the configuration program for it. Please tell me what to do with it...

I've run into this issue with USB wireless network cards from DLink, Linksys, and Netgear. For me, the issue was with the USB ports on the PC and not having enough power for the device, the connection would stay live for a random amount of time and then all of a sudden it would die (same thing would happen when resuming from hibernation or standby). I added a PCI card with a powered USB hub in it and it solved my problem.
Hope this info helps!

Hi!
Thanks for the response!
I have a dlink hub that has both the wireless and cable capabilities.
In the same package a USB stick receiver has been included and when I
connect it to my desktop computer the above problem happens. I am using
only one Internet service provider, as far as I know. Please tell me
how to disconect the RJ45... I do not know how. Thank you again and
excuse me for my ignorance...
Cristian
Appears you are having a cable internet connection.
When you try the USB stick,in the Desktop( ?)
you are using two ISP's and either of them will work but not together.
Disconnect the Rj45 from router to Desktop and test. and give feedback.
