Hello, I have a Epson LX 300+ Dot Matrix Printer, I have taken it apart to clean the gears and assemble it again, now it gives me a problem, on the left hand side there is a purple leaver with 01234 that leaver have it own sensor, when that leaver is on 1 or 2 or 3 or 4, the carriage moves a bit but then stop and beep’s a lot then a death tone, if you put the leaver on 0 then the carriage move to the left and don’t stop at the homing position sensor but it just keeps on going left, this is the second printer that I have taken apart that gives this problem after!!
The sensor is working separately on another cable, the sensor cable is working separately on another sensor, the pipe the carriage moves on is lubricated and moves freely, all of the plugs is plugged in correctly it is colour coated, I don’t know what else to look for!
Please help me, the first printer was mine, not the second one!! Oeps!!

If you mixed up where the sensors plug into the board then the printer will not be able to sense where the carriage is. Make sure the sensors are all plugged into there proper jacks.

I did, the sensors’ plugs have different colors, it is not that difficult to put them in the right place.
Need to change head carriage --- so it will detect home position - sanjay 9860646020
