Recently upgraded my MAC OS 9.2.2 to OS X ......."Classic" mode is not working so I am unable to get my Que 525 CD drive/burner to work or for that matter my computer to see it in OS X mode. Do I need a new driver? Will this drive work with OS X at all?

Thank you so much for the info. I too am so sorry it won't work. It has been a good CD reader and burner for me until I upgraded to MAC OSX.Thank you so much for the info. I too am so sorry it won't work. It has been a good CD reader and burner for me until I upgraded to MAC OSX.

Unfortunately, after digging around awhile I found this:
"Cypress, which is the company that writes the drivers and made the
chipset used in the back panel for these drives will not be making any
more drivers for this chipset, so unforunately the drive will not be
supported on OS 10.3 and later." - qps-inc
So it seems that it will not work with OSX. Sorry =/

have you tried the manufactures webpage for your burner for the mac and is you mac got usb 2.0 inabled or is it only usb1.0 only if it is only got usb 1 then get yourself a usb 2 add on card then you may be able use usb 2 devices on the mac.
hope this works for you
