I have the same problem but the screen will work as long as I keep the slider open which is not very practical, as soon as I slide it closed the screen goes black and I have to turn it off and on again :( Did you ever find a solution to this problem?

I've been using D900i for a year & I experienced it already. It's probably the flex & not the LCD screen. You should ask your cell phone technician to change the flex. Once it is changed your D900i will be good as new.

How to turn off the keypad tone for my samsung d900i

On the phones sides there are two buttons. Press the lower button severally and the tone reduction will be displayed on the screen. Alternatively, go to settings, then select sound profiles then select normal then option, edit then scroll to keypad tone then mute.

My samsung D900i phone won't charge and wont switch on

I would suggest 3 things. Firstly check if another battery switches the phone on, if it does, your charging socket is a goner. secondly see if your lights on the keypad switches on, if it does it could be your Flex ribbon that said goodbye, lastly you should remember that your d900i still have a warranty and can be fixed by a acredited repair centre.

Samsung D900i LCD Replacement

Hi.An update on replacing pesky D900I craked screen. My last post was accurate up to taking out the camera and speaker.Leave them be.
There are two ribbon cables to unplug from the keypad below the screen; You have to be v.carefull.There is a tiny flip-up hinge that must be released on each.I used a tiny screwdriver to open them.Tease the ribbon connectors out.Now the screen can be removed, however they stick em in;around the perimeter underneath where you cant see it.One has to pry up an edge near a corner whilst bending the plastic a frame a little,(I used plastic picnic knives, finger nails etc),but it will come out with care.In my case it has to;11 year old kid saved up for it!Dammed if samsung were going to beat me.Recommend reverse the procedure with a new screen from ebay;est £30.,then sell it and buy something robust. Can supply more info if you can be bothered with it all.Bye
