My Canon Powershot A95 is having the same problem as 88rickernst (nov. 23 post). It's not likely that water or some other liquid got inside, so what else could be the problem?

CANON POWERSHOT A95

Obviously it's a mass Canon A95 issue, it's the same as "pink blur LCD" question which has around 10 people with the same problem, and there's also "purple LCD line" question which refers to the same. Just this website has around 20 of us who posted in August. Unfortunately not a single reply.
