The cables that come with the Wii are composite video cables with the standard red, yellow and white cables. You might be trying to plug them into the component video input, which has red, blue, and green.

Check your TV to see if you have any red, yellow, white inputs. Use that input if you are using the cables that same with the console.

Alternatively, you can buy component video cables for the Wii. This will be for the red, blue and green input. This will provide you with higher definition (480p vs. 480i) and a slightly sharper picture.

Good luck.

How to get internet

Should be a simple matter of connecting either through a wireless or wired connection. If your router is giving out proper DHCP leases the WII should configure itself easily. You can check the settings in the network menu on the setup of the wii.

HOw to add wireless internet to wii

It sort of depends on where the problem manifests itself. On the most basic end, you need a wireless router configured to use your internet signal and the networking options on your Wii configured to match the security settings on that router. But if you're encountering difficulty with an existing wireless network for which you know you're providing the correct credentials, you may be able to make changes to the settings on the Wii to obtain a specific IP address. More information about the problem is most likely necessary.

My wii does not have any sound. I have change the wires and that did not help either. What else can I try?

Are you sure you have the cables plugged into the right spots? Be sure you match up the colors if you are using the Red , Yellow, & white cables. I know my Samsung LED TV required a different set-up than my other samsung tvs, you might want to refer to your tv manual to clarify the set-up configurations.

Trying to go from a 4 prong down to 3 prong and don't have my manual. Where do I hook the groud wire that is attached to the back

Converting from a 4 wire to a 3 wire configuration is as follows:

BLACK (HOT) - 120 VAC
RED (HOT) - 120 VAC
WHITE (NEUTRAL) - 0 VAC
GREEN or BARE - GROUND

Match the appropriate colors at the terminal block. In a 3 wire configuration the ground wire is connected to the neutral at the terminal block.

NOTE: If the wires on the plug/terminal block are not color coded, the outer two wires are your hot leads. The center conductor is neutral.

Keep in mind, homes built after 2000 are required to have a 4 -wire configuration according to the National Electric Code. The following link explains:
