I have a VPR Matrix model 2250 since new. I was vacuuming the inside of it and all circuit boards and accidently knocked the connection cable loose on the mother board which goes from the start push button to the mother board and I'm not real sure which pins the cable connector goes to. Do you have information on this?

No, VPR Matrix doesn't show information.

http://www.vprmatrix.com/products_desktop_2250.asp

That's okay though. I would like you to take a flashlight, and view the motherboard closely. I need to know who made the motherboard, and what the model number is.

FIRST!
With all Due Respect, I would like you to STOP, (Not shouting), using a vacuum to clean the inside of your computer out.

The vacuum creates Static electricity. Static will FRY OUT the hardware components inside your computer. POOF! No computer!

You may have already done this repeatedly, and have had no problems. All it takes is once.

For a test. Put the wand attachment above your head. Bring it to about 1 inch above your hair, parallel to the floor, and the nozzle end beyond the front of your face.

Have someone turn the vacuum on. Your hair lifts up. This is caused by Static.
Thank you for letting me say that.

It is Much better to use a can of compressed air for computers. Yes, I know it costs more, but it's cheaper than buying another computer.
(About $6 to $8 USD)

BEFORE you reach inside your computer, unplug it from power. ALSO, touch the metal frame of the computer case. This will relieve Static from your body.
Now you are safe, and your computer is safe.
(Work on a table. A Bed, Couch, or directly on a carpet floor are High areas of Static)

You may have to move cables to the side, and accidentally touch components inside your PC.

Look in the center of the motherboard. Also look near the edges. One more common place is in-between the expansion slots.

Expansion slots examples are, PCI slot {White in color},
AGP slot, {Usually Brown}
Due to the hardware components listed above in the VPR Matrix link, I don't think you have a PCI-Express slot.

This gives more detail about the PCI expansion slot, and AGP slot, for identification,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motherboard

Look at the photo on the upper right of the page. You can click on the photo to enlarge. The long white slots at the top of the motherboard, are PCI slots. The long Brown slot is an AGP slot. All are Expansion Slots.

On the motherboard you will notice ASUS. It is upside down in the photo, and in-between the brown AGP slot, and the third white PCI slot.

That is the motherboard manufacturer's name. Asus
To the left over by the blue ram memory slot is the Model Number.
It's on a white strip.
A8N-VM CSM Revision 1.10

If I have this information I may be able to find the Motherboard Manual.
I will give you the link to it, and also detail out where the Power On switch, (Button) wires go.

They will go to a Front Panel header on the motherboard. We just don't know where yet. (Connector on a motherboard is called a Header)

Don't worry, we'll find out where those wires go.

All c keys and all f sharp keys no sound when depressed.

The key scanning matrix cable/circuitry has lost two of the connections. Could be either a loose cable or worst case a cracked circuit board under the keys.

KORG SP-250. Keyboard powers up, you can change all selections, five or six random notes sound, but the other keys produce no sound at all.

There is probably a cable loose that connects the keyboard itself to the processor... OR the key contacts have been contaminated by spilled liquid. The keys are scanned as a matrix. The contacts will be a conductive rubber pressed against circuit board traces. Clean contact "pills" and the circuit traces with ONLY 99% isoprophyl alcohol.
This is NOT for the unskilled to attempt a DIY other than carefully opening and looking for a cable that has come loose.

My keyboard is being uncooperative. It produces no sound, and displays the following message: “Welcome to the PC-88 . . . Waiting for scanner . . . Scanner is dead! V1.02” Any suggestions?

The scanner is LIKELY the scanner that scans the keyboard matrix. The scanner sends out a strobe to a particular portion of the keys and reads that portion then moves on to the next. The keys are in a big matrix with disconnect diodes to avoid reading crossing in the matrix when multiple keys are presssed at once. Each keky has two contacts whcih allow them to measure how fast a key is pressed because one contact closes before the other.

The "scanner" MIGHT be on a seperate board that has cables to the actual keys area AND a cable to the main processor. OR the scanner could actually be included on the circuit board with the key switches. I would open the unit and look for a cable that has come loose between the scanner circuit board and the main board. Beyond that this will NOT be a DIY repair.

How to connect printer 2250 with a COM port

Simply connect the printer to the computer using the type of cable the printer has (usually USB).
The computer would assign a COM port on its own.

Shaver keeps shorting out. It goes on and off. Hard to shave like that. ;)

If your model is run directly from the cord, you may have a broken wire in the cord. Could also be a loose solder joint where the AC port connects to th circuit board.

If you shaver is rechargeable, you probably have a loose connection inside. Look at the battery terminals and the connection from motor to circuit board for loose connection.

If you find that you need a new cord, you will find one at shaveroutlet.com

VPR matrix 2250 motherboard configuration to connect the wires I disconnected to change another motherboard. Now I cannot reconnect all the wires. Can you help me? Thanks, Teg

Hi,
You Need to go to The Motherboard Manufacturers Web-Site.
And Download A User Manual For That Model.
You can,t guess Or assume which wires go where, or your likely to damage the mainboard.
** Please Note** All motherboards Differ Slightly Unless you Purchase A Identical replacement.
Hope This Helps Mike @ Compurepair.
