well the old ones came out in pieces apart from the back one so is there a special way to put them in and where does the spring go before the bearings or after the bearings and what about the seal.

once there in does the spindle just push straight through.

    thanks for the help.

    tony.

When you re-install the bearings make sure you use a good red appliance grease it is for high temp high speed use. Use a good amount of it then install the bearings the same way you took them out.

The machine makes excessive noise when spinning and the drum feels to have some movement. I think that the bearing needs to be replaced. The machine is a 6 kg Not tried to fix it yet. Need advice on how...

quite a hard job if you never done this work before.....Depending on model bearings can be on its own kit or you will need HALF DRUM complete with prefitted bearings cost of this is around £75 ...plus labour at around 2 hrs.....If its under 5 yrs old Hotpont give a 5 yr warranty call charge is around £100,although this is all you would pay as the Parts are under warranty..Hope this helps.

Drum bearing very noisy on my hotpoint wma44 wshing machine

Sounds like the seals have gone as did the ones on mine. It need a complete new spider frame and bearing set as the front bearing had collapsed and groved the bearing spindle. Open the door and try lifting the drum to see if there is any up/down movement.

Noisy spin on hotpoint aquarius WF530 6kg washing machine. Suspect bearing how do I replace them.

If you spin the drum by hand, and it is niosy and rumbling then the main drum bearings have failed.
If under 5 years old, then you should be able to get it repaired under Hotpoint 5 year guarantee, You just pay for labour and call out, cheapest option, it is not really a D.I.Y job, as it is quite involved, and entails a lot of work.
Please rate my advice.
Thanks.

We need Bearing

Sadly, some of these machines were manufactured with a completely sealed drum making bearing replacement impossible. If the shop is selling you a complete drum, I would say you have such a machine otherwise they would sell you a bearing kit. Lots getting caught with this one :(

Hotpoint WF740 Aquarius Plus Drum Seized.

hi the code will flash that because of the drum being seized in my opinion the bearings have seized to replace them you will need to remove the front of the machine disconnect all the wires from the drum not the machine there are two plastic pegs holding the suspension legs to the drum which you will need to remove. push the pins in at the backof the pegs and pull out the pegs, sorry you will need too remove the two concrete blocks top/bottom first, then remove the pegs lift out the drum remove the fixings around the drum with a t-30/t-40 bit, then split the drum now comes the tricky bit - AT THE BACK OF THE DRUM IS A 13MM BOLT UNDO THIS ONE TAKE OFF THE FLY WHEEL AND THEN REPLACE THE BOLT HIT THIS BOLT AS HARD AND AS CLEANLY AS YOU CAN WITH A LARGE HAMMER SO THE STAINLESS STEEL DRUM COMES OUT THEN YOU NEED TO GET THE OLD BEARINGS OUT THESE CAN BE A PIG SOMETIMES SO DONT GIVE UP THEN REPLACE WITH NEW ONE'S PUT BACK TOGETHER IN REVERSE ORDER.hope this helps if you can think you can do it it's not as bad as it looks ,good luck
