How to work a sony 40 in projection tv's picture in picture feature

You have two problems: blue lines is convergence problem and the blue screen and shutdown is Blue Screen control is up too high.

this problem has to do with te optics in the tv...not the lamp. I had the same problem, even after replacing the lamp. I called sony & they are replacing the tv with a 2010 Sony Bravia 40'. Free! For a fee of $325 I could have got a 46" or for $725 a 55". I went with the 40". Try working it out with sony. It worked for me and only took a 5 minute phone call. Good Luck

This problems very common on DLP Tvs.This problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.Colors lines R,G,B mis alignment,have colors shadows or 3D pictures.The tv convergence board is dead.Require to be replaced on the tv convergence board 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors to solved the tv convergence board problems,to solved tv convergence picture problems.The shop,will cost about $300-350 for parts and labors.

Reset the colors setting back to factory original setting.Should have all colors back to original.Not than ur main tuner signal board is dead,must replaced.

the cable remote has a zoom feature in the settings. the zoom setting got turned on somehow. This feature overrides the picture size settings on the tv.
so, not a tv problem at all, but easily missed.

try adjusting your color tuners located inside tv behind speakers.

you need to set up format and far your turn off your computer
and restart it and so cpu can pick your tv i have a 40 kdl40s2000
and i used it for my 360xbox computer vire nice pix h/d

I have the same tv and could never get picture in picture either. I looked up the specs online and it says it is not a feature of our tv. Here is the link
