Hi, I have a LG dishwasher - LD-2040WH. I think the springs in the door have broken or become loose as the door crashes down to the floor unless you guide it down with you hand. Can I fix this? Thank you

The IE or 1E error or fault code indicates that the washer is not filling with water. Check to be sure the water supply valves are open. Also, check to be sure the water supply hoses aren't kinked or clogged. Next, remove the hoses from the washing machine and run water into a bucket to test the pressure and flow of the water. If all of these check out and you have good water pressure and flow to the machine, you should replace the water inlet valve.
If you've checked everything, you will need to replace the impeller possibly.
Leakage error > Conditon: Excessive RPM of washing motor happened
during wash cycle due to water leakage.
Possible cause: Water leakage in hose connections, water is leaked by
damages. The motor water seal leakage of sump assembly. The height of
drain hose connection ( sink drain hose ) is not over 20". Impeller of
the washing pump is worn away.
E1 leakage error The excessive RPM of Washing Motor happened during Wash cycle due to water leakage. Water leakage in Hose connections. Water is leaked by damages. The Motor Water Seal leakage of Sump assembly. The height of Drain Hose connection (sink-Drain Hose) is not over 20 . Impeller of the Washing Pump is worn away. Replace the connections of Hose. Check the point of damages and repair or replace the related parts. Replace the Impeller of the Washing Pump.
The main water pump on this model does not last long. The water seal between pump and motor starts to leak that result in the adjacent motor bearing corroding and eventually failing, resulting in excessive noise. Later the water leak becomes so bad that it triggers the "E I" water leakage display and prevents it from completing the program. The pump and motor is sold as one unit and the whole unit must be replaced. I have tried to replace the faulty bearing and repacked the rubber seal with silicon grease but with no success. If anyone have repaired the water seal successfully please let us know.
