Firmware problem On boot up I get the message 'firmware problem'. Have tried to re-format, clean up, delete firmware. Have tried to re-install firmware, that seems successful but then when Zen is re-booted just get same message. Interestingly when the firmware is loading it states that it already exists and will overwrite it despite the fact that I have deleted on the Zen. Any help gratefully received. Regards, Ian Kennedy

I have a zen sleek 20gb. Stuck in recovery mode. Have tried everything. Giving up on it now. Won't be buying creative again. Keeps telling me firmware problem and update through USB. When I try it won't do it. I think this product wasn't thought through properly.

You can't reinstall the firmware on these units if your computer has Windows Media Player version 11 on it. Try uninstalling WMP11, reloading the firmware off creative's site, then after the player is working again, you can reinstall WMP11 from the internet. I don't know if it will work for you but I have brought back many dead sleek photo units this way. The problem is not with the players themselves, it's a software interface problem that makes the creative software and the WMP11 software incompatible.

I have Boot error on my NWD-B103 sony walkman

The only way to fix a boot error message on an mp3 player is to do a firmware upgrade. If the firmware is available you will find it on the manufacture's website. It's important that your computer still recognize the player when it's connected because the firmware will be have to be downloaded onto the player.

The firmware should be installed then connect your usb player. Follow the steps given on the web. By the way it will be better if you format your player as well during this installation.

I'm using the same model as you and I'm very glad to share you this.. hope you will try!

Hello Sir, I purchased Acer Aspire 5745G two weeks ago. Yesterday My brother installed Fedora 12 and Windows7 was already instlled in it... Acer Customer Care Service suggested me to use Windows7 only. So...

The problem is with your Windows Boot file "bot.ini file" This file can become damage, corrupted or deleted for a number of reaons, (here seems the installation of Fedora 12) and id usually brought to your attention to by an error message befoe booting windows, the same message you are facing. there are two ways of removing it. 1-You can format your OS and re install it. or 2- repair your windows using the windows OS Cd.

Hard drive full running xp ,drive is paritionedc,d

Hello,

To delete a partiition is quite easy in windows. but you will need a third party application like "partition magic" to merge two partitions together, this could be costly

The best advice I could give you is to back up all your information and reinstall your windows straight onto one partition. This will improve your overall speed and also probly also free more space by deleting unwanted programs, spam etc.

Looks like you might have to format your drive and reload windows from scratch, unless you can restore deleted files from your recycle bin

HP NC6320 - drive not detected or found during OS install

That is a possibility that it has a data protection. Try this http://www.ptdd.com/manual2.htm download the super FDisk and burn the ISO to a DVD. then boot off of it and delete all partitons on your HDD that way it will be erased so you can start over new. You might be able to do this on HPs boot disk too. Unfortunately you cannot update the HDD firmware after the drive has no OS on it. In this case you need an outside tool to totally erase the HDD so the install can see it again.
