First I'd try rebooting your computer with the printer on and plugged in ( reboot the printer first ). I know that sounds simple but it works sometimes.
If that doesn't work, make sure you do have communication with the printer. Can you print to it? If you can, I would reinstall the printer drivers, as the scanner driver may need to be reinstalled. http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/pixma_mp_series/pixma_mp150#DriversAndSoftware and choose your operating system for the driver.
If this solution helps, please give a positive rating.
im not sure what i'm and doesn't means the drivers for
the scanner might have been corrupted you might have to uninstall

install a new driver for this device right click you will have options to
update driver, disable, uninstall or select properties again you will have the
similiar options you can troubleshoot hope this helps
Alot of the X3350 all in ones have there scanners go bad if you still have a warranty for this printer then call Lexmark if not then you can go out and buy one for like $85.
try reloading the scanner have you the disk. or if that does not work contact manufacturer. when removing the scanner first close it down the computer then reinstall scanner.
if this doesn't fix the problem, you have to uninstall adn reinstall the software.
Note: install the printer software on the computer first, then connect the printer to the computer.
