When you put in a game the sounded is distorted

can mean several things. The crackle is subjective and can mean distortion. Distortion most of the time comes out of the amplifier. Could be you have blown a capacitor in the power supply of the amplifier, making it work with quasi half the voltage. There is no need to change the polarity on a speaker, because when one is not working infuse, it won't distort the music. You only could have difficulty with the stereo sound. It could be a bit unclear where the sound is coming from and could sound a little less powerful.Check the speakers on a different amplifier, to hear if I'm right. Only if you switched on sound while the amp was giving full power, you could have blown the speakers, but most of the time they don't give any noise after that.

Replacing speakers are not a skilled work, can be done at homw. But, reason for distortion should be troubeshooted before replacing the speakers, and make sure that the distrotion is due to damaged speakers itself. Otherwise it will be a waste of money. It will be best to contact any service technician.

hi you can detached or disconnected the subwoofer cable, for temporary or permanent fix, as the speaker sound also produced good quality sound..

it sounds like ur disc drive is loose. if you dont get it fixed soon games will start to get stuck in the console. helpful tip when this does happen dont fret when ejecting a disc push down really ******* the console ubove where the disc is at the exact time you push eject and it should come out :)

sound like ur speakers are failing lol im a genious right... u probabily figured that out try playing something else through ur system not ps3 if it still crackles u should think about changing your sound system

The sound (if it makes any) will be distorted and garbled. Keep in mind that subs require amplification. If you are testing the sub without an amplifier you may or may not hear distortion because the radio by its self can't make the sub perform properly, if it has to low of voltage it may crackle because its not recieving a strong enough signal, if it is blown it may not crackle for the same reason

what you have to do is turn off your system then turn it on until you get 2 beeps. then go through the on screen instr.

This may be caused by a loose or broken wire in your head phone wires.

Yea, now its time to replace it! the magnetic effect is weaken which makes the very bass low frequency sound to be distorted! You should re engergise the magnet of the subwoofer or should buy the new!
