Apple 80gb iPod freezing/computer wont recognise iPod

Try it on another computer and if it happens its the ipod. Or try restalling itunes with the lates version (7.7.1)
If that doesnt work try using a different program for your ipod eg Jriver media center

Sansa/SanDisk 1.0 downloading music

By plugging this device into your usb port, windows should automatically recognize it as a media storage device and download a generic driver for it. Allow Windows to do this and it should say in lower left corner of screen "the device is ready for use" If you have updated to Microsoft Media Player 10, by having the device connected you should have an option of synchronizing the device with the media player. By synching with it you will be able to see what music is on it, delete music, and also add music by dragging and dropping within the synch window. If you don't want to use Media Player, you can also go to My Computer and double click on the letter of the drive that corresponds with the media storage device that the computer assigned to the player. By doing this it should give you the contents of the music on the player. By highlighting the files located on the player you should be able to delete them and by copying and pasting from your "My Music" file add your own music to the player.

Keep in touch if you have any other questions.

Good Luck

Trouble with Itunes and songs

The songs are shaded and can't be selected or deleted because you have to use the synch feature to add or delete anything from Iphone. . When you are in iTunes with the phone plugged in, select the phone in the left hand column. Your phone synch features will appear in the iTunes browser window. Click on the music tab and you will be able to select which playlists are copied or deleted from the phone.
