Only hot water pipe going in

It seems there is only a hot water inlet and no cold water pipe on our machine, which means the water going in is the temperature of the boiler. This means it is too hot most of the time and is rinsing wit hot water. We have tried turning the temperature down at the boiler which is okay but a bit of a pain. Does anyone else have this same problem. I've done a couple of jumpers already and all my other clothes have shrunk a size or two.

Don't know that particular make, but if there's only one water inlet available the machine should use its own electric heater. A "Wash Temp" setting switch should be available.

Maytag when filling hot water it seems to switch between hot and cold when on hot it seems to be pulsating in the pipes where I can hear it in through the house.

If you are experiencing pulsating hot water in your Maytag washing machine, it is likely due to an issue with the water inlet valve. The water inlet valve is responsible for controlling the hot and cold water that enters the washer. Over time, it can become worn or damaged, which can cause the water flow to pulsate or switch between hot and cold.
To fix this issue, you may need to replace the water inlet valve. This can be done either by a professional or on your own, although it is recommended to seek help from a professional if you are inexperienced with appliance repairs.
Before replacing the water inlet valve, you should also check the hoses for any blockages or kinks, as this can also cause pulsating water flow. Additionally, inspect the pressure switch and the timer, as these can also be a source of the problem.
Once the repair is complete, ensure to check the water pressure in the washer to make sure that it is operating correctly.

Is the indecit wm12x washng amchne a hot or cold water fill?

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France @ 13:45 Tues afternoon.

You can easily check by looking at the back where the water pipe or pipes need to be connected. If there is only one inlet then it is a cold fill and the machine will heat the water up itself.
If there are two inlets the hot is normally marked RED and the cold BLUE.
When the hot water is not hot enough for the particular wash, the machine will heat it in the same way as it would heat just cold water. If, however, the hot water is too hot, it will mix in some cold!

Cheers,

I have a model WFE1070BD*CD,(5 months old) does this machine use cold water ? Both hot and cold taps were connected at installation but on delicate wash clothes are still very hot .

Check the hose connections on the back.My guess is the lines are crossed. Double check: Is the cold water supply piped to the cold inlet on the washer and the hot water piped to hot inlet? They may be reversed either on the hoses or in the wall.
To check the in-wall piping, feel the the hose bibb marked cold...well, is it? cold I mean. If it is hot, the pipes are crossed in the wall. If it's cold, check that the hose is running to the inlet marked C or cold, or is blue. If it isn't your inlets are crossed. Either way, switch the hoses and you should be good.

When iput washing on it seems that the hotwater isnt hot the pipes are on ive checked

Some washing machines allow hot water to enter only during certain cycles. Others intermittently allow hot and cold to enter, to temper the temperature of the water. Consult your owner's manual if you are unsure about whether the machine is acting abnormally. If you're sure the machine isn't working the way it used to--or should--try these tests: Is the hot water turned on? If not, turn it on.Is the washer getting cold water but no hot water? If so, check to see if the control panel settings are correct. Is there hot water coming through the proper hose? If not, check to see if the screen inside the water-inlet valve is clean. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If it's clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, completely replace the Valve.

Hi I have a hotpoint wd72 which is showing an error ' E10 CHECK WATER SUPPLY' when going into rinse mode. I've checked the cold water supply pipe from source to the washer and thats fine, it seems that...

First check the screens in the end of the hose and inside the water inlet valve. If clear you need to remove the top and check to see if you have power to the water inlet valve, there will be a solenoid for hot and one for cold. Check for power on the cold solenoid when washer is put into a fill cycle. If you have power replace the water inlet valve. The whole valve must be replaced. They are inexpensive and easy to replace. Here is a link that should help http://appliancehelponline.com/washerwaterinlet.html

Why is my warm water is cold? The hot is hot and cold is cold but warm is cold.

There is too much pressure on the cold feed, reduce the pressure on the cold by partly closing off the tap on the cold.
Or ensure the hot feed is fully open and not blocked, check if there are filters inline - remove the feed pipes at the washer end and look into the inlet valves - clear if blocked.
The inlet valve is common to hot and cold water with only a small pipe to fill the machine, the cold water is being forced back up the hot water pipe due to the pressure you can feel the pipe cool down after running hot then go to warm, if hot water is flowing the pipe will stay hot, if not then cold is going up the hot pipe.

Orientation of inlet pipes

I am not to sure if this answers your question but I think you are asking which way the hot and cold hoses connect to the wasing machine? if this is the case if you look on the back of the washing machine you will see stamped in the metel a H for hot connect the hot water inlet hose to this, If it is not marked, hook up the hot water hose to the washing machine and place the water temp selector to hot and turn machine on if hot water comes out you have the correct hose hooked up,if not then the cold water hose goes were you hooked up the hot water hose. hope this helps

Washing maching won't rinse in cold water

hi is this hot and cold water piped machine? ie two connections on rear of machine for hot and cold pipes ? if so are your pipes connected properly on machine and the water supplies? if cold supply is connected to hot supply then wash inlet allows water in washer then washes in cold? but when rinse is due? the elec valve that has hot water pipe connected?? is failing to open allowing water flow of hot on rinse so advise recheck pipes for flow of water from both? when disconnected from machine if flow ok then possible valve blocked/faulty hope you can understand above? if you can give more info on your machine it would help to offer a remedy?

Gushing water - Hoover SPB11 washing machine

First plug off the wall. Before connecting the "hoses" (both hot and cold) to the machine inlets see that the inlet is clean. Connect the outlet hose to the standpipe, not too deep. The outlet hose has to be about 3 feet above ground level; there is a water level mark behind the machine. Both the inlets should be well screwed in, noting the threads of the inlets

You said the water was gushing.....into the machine? Fine .....what next.......post back.
