3.1 megapixel I got this camera for christmas. I didn't have a card at first and i could only take a few pictures that would delete when i turned the camera off. So I turned the camera off and waited until i got a card. About a week later I got a card and when I turned the camera back on it would just beep and it constantly displayed E50. The only way to turn it off is to take the batteries out. What can I do?? I can't take it back because the package was thrown away with Christmas paper and I don't have the reciept because I didn't buy it. [email protected]

I had the same problem, when I used a different computer to make sure it wasn't mine, the option of scanning it came up. It seemed like a good idea, and I was ready to try anything (I scanned the cam and the card) It worked, the scan found the problems and fixed them. Oddly enough, it was the card that had the problems, not the cam. Now my camera and card work like new. As far as I can tell, none of my pictures were lost during the scan

Hope this helps someone.

How to delete pictures off camera ?

Two methods, one if this function is installed on your camera you can choose to format the card which will delete everything on the card.

Two if the above is not available you can put your card in your computer if there is a slot for it or connect your camera via USB to your computer. Locate the memory card and format it to remove everything, this is faster than choosing the delete option.

Delete pictures from memory card

http://cdn-10.nikon-cdn.com/pdf/manuals/coolpix/S550_en.pdf
The link above will take you to your camera's manual. You did not say if you want to delete a few pictures or all of the pictures from your memory card. If you want to erase all of your pictures, you must reformat your memory by following the instructions on page 19. If you want to remove selected pictures, look on page 102 for instructions.

PROTECTED CARD CANNOT DELETE PICTURE

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I have a digital camera and the model is C1033 , i put a san disc drive card in with a memory card in the san disc and on christmas day it worked fine, a few days later i couldnt take a picture and it says...

Sound like the card is corrupted. Take it out and try in a card reader, search for image recovery software if you can't read the card properly. When you've finished trying to get the images off the card format the card and retry in the camera.

I have a i533 5.0 megapixel digital camera.I took pictures thinking the memory card was in it but it wasnt and it said memory was full so i deleted the pictures off the camera and put the memory card back...

You caused a card conflict, or have corruption on the card.

Try this:
Remove the battery from the camera.
Remove the memory card, and re-insert.
Install the battery back in the camera.
Turn on the camera.
In the setup menu or the equivalent for your camera, select the card options. Indicate for it to re-format, or re-initialize the memory card.

If the above does not work, you should call the support line for your camera.

Internal memory is full - will not let us take more pictures. How do you delete internal memory? Thanks

No Problem, Check this Manual and refer to Formatting internal memory or an SD or MMC Cards.
You have to choose "Image storage" to "Internal" from the settings menu (Read the Manual). And there will be images there, delete them and then make the storage back to "Auto".
The camera writes quickly to internal memory, so even after you've filled the buffer (it holds four 3.1-megapixel shots), you can snap one more picture in just a few seconds. (

How to protect pictures so they do not get deleted

Best way is to only delete them 1 by one. Another is to transfer files (pictures) to your computer delete the ones you don't want, format your card and then put the ones you want to keep on your camera back. You can't delete just a few pictures. I carry 3 memory cards. one just has the pictures I want to show people. I load that card from my computer. The other 2 are like great big rolls of film that let me take lots and lots of pictures without the worry of running out of film. I transfer the pictures I want to show people on my camera to the third one and keep the other 2 erased. Most of my pictures are only on my computer and backed up on DVD's.

Nikon Coolpix L14....deleting multiple photos

If you are looking to delete them all at once on the camera, you can format the card.

But really, the best way to manage pictures on your camera card is to use a card reader with your computer/laptop to delete/copy pictures from your camera card to your computer/laptop.

plug your camera into your computer and off-load the images from the card, then delete the images from the card after making sure you can access all your pictures from your computer.
