Epson Aculaser C900 - Paper Jam Notice, but no Jam?

HI,

I´m having a problem with my C900 Aculaser. When i want to print, the printer stops ejection to early (about 3,5cm) of A4 paper size. Then he always says "Paper jam, open AB". When i manually trie to take the paper out, he also says Paper Jam.

Can anybody help me?

thanks,

    Guys,
I have the same problem with my C900.

Before that, I replaced the photo conductor unit, installed it, and my printing was in a mess. The printing page starts around 3 inches from the top edge of the paper, and the printer always displays "Paper JAM"... the printer always displays this message. I need to pull the paper out from the tray to get it. The spooling starts late... (i think)

Then here's where i lost it... I can print texts in color, but the Black texts never prints.??? I tried printing texts in color, and it is ok. Pictures are really BAD. I tried removing the back side panel (the "AB" door) , and i can see that the rollers did absorbs the black texts..

I do not know where's the problem.. Hardware perhaps?.. i only replaced the photoconductor unit.. The Epson service people is also not much help.

    Can anybody help..? Thanks !!

    Hi

I have basically the same problem the only differrence is that a black page prints fine, and gets ejected, while if I try to print colour it is very faint and the last 20 to 30 mm of the page stays in the printer and I get a paper jam error.

    thanks

Step1
Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred.
Step
2
Turn off the printer.
Step
3
Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
Step
4
Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
Step
5
If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.
Step
6
If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly (see A). The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
Step
7
If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper (see B). Don't force anything, though.
Step
8
Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
Step
9
If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.

Problem printing multiple copies of a single page document

I have a similar problem with an old HP LJ1300. They have not updated the driver correctly and don't intend to fix it. I can't find any reference to AcuLaser C900 on Epson's support page. So maybe they stopped supporting the C900.

Papr Jams and wrong size report

We just solved this problem with our c900.
Basically, a paper jam has caused some probs with the sensors and rollers. After playing with the thing for about 4 hours, i ran some really thick photo paper through it and after a couple of trys where it just screwed up in the back, it then fed through and printed correctly. After that it was fine with all paper types, no more messages, and no more paper getting screwed up in the back. Ian

Epson AcuLaser C900 Printer

Error Code 6001 ~ 6999 are simply service required errors and are very general. I would imagine that if the tray is missing the printer will produce a fault. For starters it will think it has no paper and therefore will not try to pick up paper from the tray. If the tray is opened during operation I believe the printer stops, therefore there must be a sensor for the tray - no tray means sensor is operated. Best guess - fit a tray.
