Quite often the OCR portion is a third party software product and Lexmark cannot offer it as a download. Your best bet is to contact Lexmark customer support to see if they can help, but be advised they may want to charge for the disk.
Try to open the printer cover and access the cartridge area. Make sure the carrier belt is properly seated in its place. If not, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.
The Lexmark OCR scan software can only be installed using the installation disk that came with the printer. Sadly, it's not available for download from the internet. You can contact Lexmark technical support to request for the CD.Thanks.
The Lexmark OCR scan software is only available in the installation cd that came with the printer. Not available for download. I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support to request for that. Provide them your contact information and the serial number found behind the printer. Thank you for choosing Lexmark.
No solution here - just confirmation. Mine say that it (the scanner) cannot save files to my hard drive, that it is full. That's far from true, but to a dumb accessory a locked target folder/directory will look like a full disk. Does anyone know where Lexmark parks it's temporary files? I've looked in all the usual places on my Mac, and can't find anything yet. (I have previously found a Brother parks it's initial scans, before you save them, deep in a normally inaccessible corner of the System folder.)
The Lexmark OCR scan software can only be installed using the installation cd that came with the Lexmark X7675 printer. It's not available for download. If you don't have the installation cd or you lost it, I advise you to call Lexmark at 1-800-LEXMARK (1-800-539-6275). They can better assist you with that request. Hope this helps. If you need more assistance, place a comment so I can get back to it. Thanks.
Do you have MS Office 2003 or 2007? If so, there is a Microsoft Document Imaging tool that you can use to scan text documents. You can also search www.download.com for free OCR tools you can use for the same purpose.
Sometimes companies only support only the basic drivers. The OCR software is on the CD (s) that came with the printer. Suggestion. Try to order the original CD from Lexmark., or search Ebay for programs that have OCR capability. You can use OCR programs from other vendors as long as they are stand-a-lone programs. Just make sure you have the original disc so as not to infringe on copyright privileges.
Note: you can buy OCR programs. Check Ebay and Amazon. They are usually better that the programs that come on the OEM disk.
